The roof is constructed of eight steel trusses, each approximately 282 feet long, spanning the width of the building from east to west. All of the heating and air conditioning units are on the roof. The Press Box, suspended under the roof on the east side of the entertainment centre facing the player's benches on the west, is the home of five radio/television broadcast booths, two print media viewing areas, boxes for home and visiting team coaches, producer/game director, league officials and video replay technicians. The multi-sided score clock, which contains four state-of-the-art video boards and weighs up to 50,000 lbs., is also hung from the roof over centre ice.
