Winnipeg, January 7, 2005 - True North Sports & Entertainment plans a special refuge for parents who'd like to stay as close as possible while their children attend the Hilary Duff concert Monday night at MTS Centre.
The Exchange Restaurant on the event level of MTS Centre will be reserved for parents. There will be a five dollar entry charge which includes unlimited coffee and access to purchase snacks and food from an adjacent concessions area.
"We think there are a lot of parents who don't have tickets for the show who'd prefer to hang out close-by rather than dropping off their kids, driving home and coming back two hours later," said Robert Thorsten, Vice President, People and Patron Services for True North. "This will allow them to park once, chill out while the show is on and meet their kids at an appointed place on the way out of the building".
The Hilary Duff concert is a much anticipated totally sold out event. The show starts at 7:00 pm and is expected to conclude around 9:00 pm. Parents without tickets to the show dropping off children for the concert will not be able to escort them to their seats inside MTS Centre.
Tickets to the Parent's Room, which has a capacity of 300, must be booked in advance through Ticketmaster (phone 780-3333).
