Winnipeg Saints host Selkirk Steelers in inaugural Red River Showdown at MTS Centre
The Winnipeg Saints of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League will host the Selkirk Steelers in the inaugural Red River Showdown event at MTS Centre on Thursday, November 26.
Last season the Steelers defeated the Saints in the Addison Division Final, winning the series 4-2.
The two rivals will clash nine times this season. The Saints currently lead the season series four games to none, including one shootout win.
Red River Showdown tickets will be available at the door starting at 6:30 pm. Admission will be $11 for Adults, $8 for Seniors and Students, and $5 for Children. Game time is 7:30 pm.
The event will also feature an intermission performance by the reigning third-year provincial champion University of Manitoba Ice Intrepid synchronized skating team.
