The finished look of the exterior of MTS Centre is emerging on Portage Avenue in this view from the roof deck of the Mountain Equipment Co-op store across the street. In the next two weeks glazing of the block-long curtain wall facing Portage Avenue will begin.

The original marble base of the famous statue of Timothy Eaton has now been re-assembled in the Portage Avenue Atrium of the skywalk level of MTS Centre. The statue itself sits in the wood container in the upper right of the photograph, to protect it until construction work in the area is completed.

Architectural detail along the roofline of MTS Centre. When finished, metal screening will conceal the major heating and air conditioning units which will be located on the roof.

Inside the seating bowl, the form work and steel rebar has been fixed in place. Pouring of the structural slab for the ice floor will be completed this week.

Carpenters are building the forms for the soon to be poured in place columns that will support the lower level main concourse seating stadia.
